About Ruby Grace C. Galvez, RL, LPT
a.k.a. Diva Wordsmith
Writer. Librarian. Self-improvement advocate. Occasional food service multitasker.
I wear many hats—some stylish, some metaphorical, all hard-earned.
I’m Ruby Galvez, a professional librarian, licensed educator, published author, and lifelong writer. I’ve spent most of my career in the science publishing industry—quietly making sense of data, documents, and dangling modifiers. Along the way, I’ve worked as a copyeditor, technical writer, and SEO content creator. And, I run a restaurant.
My professional life includes roles like:
- Information service provider and digital librarian
- Web content creator and database editor
- Copywriter, copyeditor, and publishing systems tinkerer
- Journal and thesis editor for pre-publication academic works
- Virtual assistant and SEO support for bloggers and businesses
- Author of both fiction and non-fiction books
I was fortunate to rank among the topnotchers in the 2017 Philippine Librarian Licensure Examination. I’ve also appeared at the Philippine International Literary Festival, where I shared a small corner of my writing world with others who believe in the quiet power of words.
What I Write About on RubyGalvez.com
This space—Diva Wordsmith—is my personal and professional convergence zone.
It’s where I write about:
- Adulting and navigating life with grace (or at least, with fewer regrets)
- Self-awareness and the awkward joy of growth
- Healing from heartbreak and learning how to love wisely
- Mindfulness and rituals that anchor a scattered soul
- Creativity, language, and writing as tools for becoming
It’s part blog, part portfolio, part breadcrumb trail of lessons I didn’t expect to learn.
If you’re here for the words, the wisdom, or the well-placed commas—welcome.
I’m always writing my way through it.
